The Calm Before the Storm.

Client:

Hyundai. Hyundai is a self-grown, South Korean brand of automobiles established in the 1960s. Presently part of the Hyundai Kia Automotive group, the motor company has registered a steady growth over the past few decades, having successfully entered European and American markets. 

Challenge: 

For the last 10 years, BASIC has been helping Hyundai with various design efforts, including their SEMA Marketing initiatives. Last year, BASIC launched a campaign around the V8 Genesis Coupe, and this year BASIC provided key art and design direction for their advertising concepts. The challenge was to highlight two of their featured models in a way that added some "edge" to the Hyundai brand.

As copywriter, I was responsible for coming up with messaging concepts, brand drivers, headlines, taglines and body copy for posters and print ads that were used to promote their new SEMA models.
