Kewe

Client: Kewe. Kewe is a fast and intuitive application that unifies the features of all your favorite social network platforms into one place. Kewe makes it easier to do the things we love, with the people we enjoy.

Challenge: Kewe enlisted BASIC to concept and create a 60-second TV commercial. The challenge was to tell their story and highlight all of the recognizable 'social' features in a way that was unique and engaging.

Makers Quarter

Maker's Quarter. Maker's Quarter is an urban district and real estate development in downtown San Diego. Maker's Quarter is a live/work/play neighborhood that is more than a new place, it's a new kind of place. This is a place where creative culture brings to life a collaborative community. It's a place that embraces its authentic contradictions. It's true to both its core values, and the city of San Diego. 

Challenge: 

Maker's Quarter came to BASIC in need of a brand strategy that would allow the district to evolve over the next 15 years. They challenged BASIC to create an identity that was flexible and adaptable for the future, yet still able to resonate with the millenial creative of today.

Hyundai

Hyundai. Hyundai is a self-grown, South Korean brand of automobiles established in the 1960s. Presently part of the Hyundai Kia Automotive group, the motor company has registered a steady growth over the past few decades, having successfully entered European and American markets. 

Challenge: 

For the last 10 years, BASIC has been helping Hyundai with various design efforts, including their SEMA Marketing initiatives. Last year, BASIC launched a campaign around the V8 Genesis Coupe, and this year BASIC provided key art and design direction for their advertising concepts. The challenge was to highlight two of their featured models in a way that added some "edge" to the Hyundai brand.

Petco

Petco. Petco is a leading pet specialty retailer that provides the products, services and advice that make it easier for our customers to be great pet parents.

Challenge:

Petco hired Red Door Interactive to create a promotional plan that would showcase 'Unleashed by Petco,' their newest division of business. Unleashed provides the same knowledge and know-how offered by Petco, in a unique, smaller package.

We created an integrated advertising campaign that included banner advertisements, PPC ads, email marketing, a microsite and a social media marketing campaign.

Challenge:

Launched in 2011, BASIC has quickly grown to become a premiere Creative agency in San Diego that specializes in Branding, Design and Video Production. As the agency transitioned from a boutique, start-up agency to a mid-size, full-service creative agency, it became increasingly important to grow the marketing and self-promotional budgets and resources of the agency.

I created an integrated marketing plan and self-promotional campaign for 2013 that included both online and offline tactics, such as: social media marketing, Organic SEO, Email marketing, monthly analytics reporting, event marketing and development of internal culture.

At BASIC, I wore many hats. Obagi Medical Products. Headquartered in Long Beach, California, Obagi Medical Products, Inc., is a global specialty pharmaceutical company that develops, markets, and sells proprietary skin care systems in the physician-dispensed skin care market.

Challenge:

Since its founding by leading skin care experts in 1988 with the creation of the Obagi Nu-Derm® System, Obagi has continued to grow. In 1997, the company officially began operations as Obagi Medical Products, Inc. Over the years, Obagi Medical Products, Inc., has developed clinically proven skin health products and systems primarily for the dermatology, plastic surgery, and related aesthetics markets.

Obagi hired JHG Communications to help revitalize their brand with a new website, a promotional video and a comprehensive marketing campaign that would target new millenial users.
